Happy New Year, Good People!
What a BLESSING to be here for another year! May you have a year filled with LOVE, JOY, ABUNDANCE, and WONDERFUL MOMENTS!! One of the greatest gifts is time, so don’t squander your time on some bulls&%t!! I don’t know about you all, but I must work; However, I still take dance breaks during the day, and I can’t let these moves go to waste – LOL. I still find moments to do what feels good, even during the grind. My hope is that you do the same!
I decided that I needed some male energy during quarantine, so I hopped on a dating app ready to entertain – LOL. What ladies son will I chat with today? Y’all, I don’t like pictures, and I have always been this way – ugh! I know that’s not good, but I promise to do better this year. Anywho, so I find some pictures and ACTION! IT’S ON! It was raining internet men! They were Tall, taller, dark chocolate, light chocolate, children, no children, pets, and some were angry according to the profile – I’ll pass on those!!
Because I live between both coasts, it is sometimes hard to connect with the men because of time zones and schedules, but I told “Classy One” that I would contact him when I’m back in Los Angeles so we can meet. He was from the East Coast, lived in Los Angeles, had a great conversation, and he’s what I like to call a “triple threat,” which is funny, professional, and down to earth. I am goofy, so I love a man that can make me laugh.
I got back to Los Angeles, reached out, and he made the reservations and sent the details. I love a man that plans! He didn’t come back with, “So you know of any good places to go?” because if he did, no date with BlackGlitter. Well, date night arrived, and we are both running a little late due to traffic. I am parked across the street from the restaurant; he pulls up, valet parks, and goes inside the restaurant. Oh, wait! He ran out of the restaurant and is chasing the valet – LOL. He left his phone in the car. I walk inside, and we smile at each other, and he says, “Hey Beautiful,” he put his hand on the middle of my back, and we are off to our table.
Over dinner, we laugh, talk, share stories, and the night is over. I wake up early because I work in a different time zone, but the second date is planned before I go to bed. Ohlala! He was tall, dressed nice, and his words carried weight! BUT something is missing; there is no chemistry. Unfortunately, I couldn’t make next to the date, and I was gone traveling to Atlanta and Miami for a week. I arrive back in town, and I reach out; he says, “let’s meet tonight,” and I respond, “tomorrow!”
I arrive at the high rise; he meets me on the corner, and we park in the garage. He has an excellent quality grown man shirt, nice pants, and Adidas. I LOVE HIS STYLE! I walk in his place; I’m blown away by the décor and the view. This shit was nice, but something is missing! I don’t feel the chemistry! When you meet someone you like, you be all giddy and touching while you talk, but I don’t feel that with him. We talk and take a shot of Whiskey, and I feel like he might go in for a kiss, so I am out! Literally a hundred miles and running out of the place. I can tell he is not happy that I left as quickly as I did. I received this text the following day “BlackGlitter, I don’t think there’s a spark between us, so I’m not going to pursue anything further. You’re a great conversationalist, but I felt like I was talking to a friend, rather than a future lover, and as I mentioned to you, I don’t want a female “friend.” Happy Holidays and I wish you well.”
I wasn’t feeling it, and he could tell, but I was so happy that he sent that text! I was in awe of his maturity, which made him extra FLY even though we didn’t get past GO! He did not have a moment to waste, and he was not playing around with my ass, and he was going to find him a woman that was going to give him what he needed – I’m not mad about it.
Have you ever met someone FLY, but the chemistry was not there? Sheesh!
Until next time!
What’s next starts now! 😉
