Hey, Good People!

Prayerfully you are all doing well and taking care of yourself while safe! If things are not going well, I am sending love and light your way!

I will be returning to Atlanta soon, and I will miss my family. I love being able to call them and say, “let’s have dinner” or “plan a game night!” I’ll be back, but I will be on my project for the next several months.

My daily responsibilities have increased drastically on the work front, so I am really WORKING! People who know me personally know that I am goofy and unpredictable, and sometimes I shock my damn self. LOL, I have learned to embrace that side of me, but it shows up at the most inopportune times. So, I had a job interview, and while I was answering a question, the movie Drum Line popped in my head, and I told the Interviewer, “ONE BAND, ONE SOUND!” WTH!! Hahahaha, Why did this movie pop in my head, and why did I say that out loud. I have never been in a damn band, and I don’t play an instrument. Hahaha! Every time I think about it, I start laughing. And on another interview, the Interviewer comes on camera, and she has green hair, piercings, tattoos, and curses. I feel like she is a part of my tribe – LOL! So, I cursed too when I answered a question that made me giggle inside. (this is a damn mess – LOL) I have had quite a few jobs, and I have never experienced someone so free in the workplace, and it was refreshing to see. I hate the cookie-cutter corporate look, and folks should feel free to rock what makes them happy, but within reason. We all know folks love to push the envelope and take it a step too far. I advanced to the second round with both interviews, so hopefully, I will update soon.

Let’s talk about dating!! I am looking forward to meeting new people, going on dates, and making connections; However, a SHOUT OUT to the communicating, healing, praying, loving, excellent lovers, listeners, leaders, and monogamous men. Last week, I spoke to a friend who is starting therapy this week! YOU GO, BOY! That made my heart smile, and I told him that I was proud of him and be OPEN to the process. I have a few dates lined up when I return to the A, so I will be updating you all along the way – LOL. Wish me luck!

I also want to give a SHOUT OUT to the man on the same flight when I left Atlanta a few weeks ago. I was in line to board the plane, and the Delta Associate told me I could only have two items and consolidate my bags. Well, my bags are stuffed with no extra room! Well, tall, dark & chocolate is standing in front of me, and he has one big bag and a book in his other hand. I ask, “where are you sitting?” and he turns around, so we are a mask to mask LOL He unlocks his phone and tells me his seat number. I say, “I need to consolidate my bags, but I have no room. Do you mind putting my bag in your bag?” he responds, “Sure!” he proceeds to unlock his bag. I say, “Wait! I may not have to give it to you,” and he replies, “But if you do, I want to be ready!” WELL DAMN! He was game like we were going home together, and he was securing our future – LOL He looks back, “What seat are you in?” and I shared the details. The FA let me on the plane, and my handbag was not an issue. He kept looking back to make sure that I was okay, we locked eyes, and he proceeded to his seat. I have no idea who this masked man is ,but I felt safe! Thank you, Sir, and I appreciate you!
