Good times!

Hey, good people!

I hope all is well on your end! I hope you are thriving, living your best life, and operating in the best form of yourself. Make sure you celebrate the small things as well as the big things and make every single damn day count. I am supposed to study for an exam, but I haven’t done anything. My goal is to be certified by the end of the year, so I need to stop playing around. Please send me some good vibes!

Cuffing season is almost here, and I am ready! My sofa was finally delivered…. I love it. The color is Cobalt blue; it’s velvet, soft, and comfortable. So, I will be able to Netflix and chill on my new soft sofa. I have a nice faux fur throw that will keep us warm from the cold, and I will purchase some liquor and hot cocoa. Hahahaha Cuffing season will only be in the South because when I go to Cali in the next week or so, the temperature is in the 90s, so I will wear shorts and sandals. Hahaha, My new bed and mattress were also delivered, and it is so comfortable that I struggle to wake up on time. Ugh!

I took a trip to Detroit a few weeks ago, and it was an excellent time with my girls. It started on a good note because I was upgraded to First Class and partied to Beyonce’s new cd the entire flight. We went to a breakfast spot that looked like it was built 100 years ago and connected to a Motel named Clique. Hahahaha, The food was so damn good. Hahaha, The pancakes were perfect and crispy around the edges!!! I almost lost my mind because that is how my granny makes her pancakes! My friends enjoyed their food too, so we were all pleased. Later that day, we went to a concert, and the headliners never showed up, but the town was there and having a great time! The boats were pulling up to the venue to party with us, and folks were having a good time. However, I was disturbed the headliners did not show up, so we left and complained in the car. LOL, I left the next day and headed back to the A.

Aretha Franklin Amphitheater

I also had a day trip to Chicago that was amazing! I landed around 11am, ate, drank, and took a nap. I bought a ticket for an architectural tour and damn near missed the boat because the liquor had me feeling good, and I almost overslept. So, I ran underground with my kitten heels, trying to make it on time. I called one of my friends to stay on the phone with me because it was dark in the tunnel, and a few people were hanging out. The tour was terrific, and I got some great shots from the water. Next, I headed back to the hotel, ate, drank, and went to the hotel to shower and get dressed for the concert. I throw my kitten heels back on and go to the venue across the water. Well, it was the wrong damn place with the same name, so I had to call an Uber and take a 10-minute ride to the venue. My seat was perfect, right at the door. I slid through the door and started singing and partying as soon as I sat down. Chicago was a great crowd, and they knew how to party. I scanned the menu but couldn’t order a drink; I still had a great time. I caught an uber back to the hotel and slept like a baby.

Well, this is where the damn drama starts. Hahahaha So, I booked two one-way flights for two different airports for arrival and departure. My flight to return home was boarding at 8:05 am, but I received a notification at 7:05 am letting me know my flight was boarding. WHAT? HOW? IT’S 7:05!! Then, I realized what the hell I had done wrong. I hop in the shower, request an uber when I get out of the shower, throw all my things in my backpack, check the app on my elevator ride and confirm that I booked TWO ONE-WAY tickets to Chicago, and I don’t have a flight home! Hahaha, The Uber arrives, and I am standing in front of the car checking to see which airport has the earliest flight. I changed my destination in the app and called Delta on the way to the airport. I was able to change my flight and get back to the A. I plan for a living, but clearly, I can’t plan my own shit. Hahahaha, I arrived at the airport at the perfect time and had a pleasant flight home.

Do you have airport theme music? I always play my theme music as I walk through the airport; it makes me feel like I am on a runway and helps me maneuver through the crowd.

Hope you have a fantastic week! Love on your family, be good to your lover, and do things that make you feel good!

Until next time!
What’s next starts now!
