Hey, Good People!
I hope you are doing well! Drinking water, doing what feels good, and making a difference in someone’s life! A small act of kindness goes a long way, so ensure you do something nice for someone. Remember to celebrate your small and big wins this week! πI hope everyone had a great Valentine’s Day if you celebrated. I hope you received a text, roses, kisses, gifts, chocolate, or spent some time with your lover. I hope all of it was pleasing and your heart was overflowing. π
IT IS MY BIRTHDAY MONTH!! I have something planned every week of the month, and I am having a party. I am so damn nervous about the party! ππ I am shy and don’t like to be the center of attention, so if they don’t sing Happy Birthday, I will be okay. π I started the month with an intimate candlelight concert, I went home for a couple of days to Los Angeles, had dinner with friends, a concert on Valentine’s Day, took the day off work for my birthday, went to a fantastic dance production, and got a massage. I keep watching TikTok videos to learn birthday dance moves that will shut the club down. I loved the birthday text, calls, money, gifts, flowers, and dates. I love cards, but I didn’t receive any. βΉοΈ

I am truly grateful for another year of life, friends/family, and the readers of Glittering thru life!! π₯° I am even grateful for the not-so-good experiences because I have learned some great lessons.
This Young Man is going to be trouble and fun!! π
*Phone rings*
Me: Hello
Young Man: First, let me start by saying Happy Birthday
Me: Thank you
Young Man: I wanted to get that out of the way, so let’s get to business. Lose my number! You have been lying for weeks, and I am sick of it. You went to Arkansas and were supposed to call when you returned, but you didn’t. I called, and you were in LA, so tell me what is happening.
Me: π³ You are right, and I am sorry! I am back and don’t have any trips planned for a couple of weeks, and I promise to do better. You forgive me?
Young Man: Cool! When can I see you?
Me: Tomorrow is good because I am going to dinner tonight for my birthday.
Young Man: Dinner! With who? Where?
Me: Dinner with a friend
Young Man: Okay. Let’s connect this week.
Life has been stressful the last couple of weeks, so I am intentional about doing things I enjoy, including lots of libations. I went to a restaurant near my place and set up my office around noon because I was tired of being in the house. The waiter shared that it was happy hour! YES!! I ordered a drink and food and proceeded to work. I texted Young Man a picture of the happy hour menu. He calls, and we facetime for a few mins. I looked up, and he walked through the door 20 mins later. We are drinking, laughing, talking, flirting, and people-watching. He cracked jokes and told me, “those folks are your age!” We laughed so hard!! The weekend was off to a good start, but I had a few more meetings, and my computer died. His truck was at the dealer, so I dropped him off at home and went home to finish my day. We planned to reconnect later that evening, but I had my phone on DND and did not know he had called twice.
I worked, rushed to a meeting with my mentor, and went to the grocery store. My phone rings tonight, and the Young Man says, “My power and water are out, so I need to come to stay at your place!” I said, “If you don’t get off my phone lying,” and we laughed hard. We chatted briefly, and I told him I would talk to him later. I need to keep him at arm’s distance! Hahaha, I love a guy with a sense of humor who can handle me and also handles his business. We have a great time, but time will tell if he is serious.
Single ladies: Please go to the hardware stores and places where men are located to meet potential partners. Wink, smile, and ask for help if needed. I went into Home Depot with my dog this morning looking for a tool to cut my flowers, but I bought another plant. Smh! This beautiful man walked by, smiled, and it made my entire day hahahaha. He said, “Good morning,” and showed his pearly whites *bling* I damn near walked out of my crocs, ππ I skipped to the counter, paid for my things, and went home.
I have been hitting my dating goals, which included flirting and dating younger men! I will visit restaurants, sit at bars, and meet new people in March or April. Sitting at the bar is the best way to meet someone or make new friends. I will definitely keep you all posted.
Until next time!
