Hey, good people!

I hope you all are doing well! I hope you are dating, having fun, thriving businesses, and careers, and having great relationships.
I just celebrated my birthday and had a fun party. We had a ball. Dancing, drinking, eating, and laughing! I never have parties, but I want to have another one next week. 😆 I may have a party to celebrate my half-birthday six months from now, or I may host a picnic in the fall for family and friends. Please remember to celebrate your small and big wins! I hope you receive hugs, passionate kisses, and support this week and do what feels good to you!

I had a rough beginning to the week, so I needed a self-care day. It was beautiful outside, so I shut down for the day and was on a mission. The first stop was the aquarium. BEAUTIFUL! I was there with the school kids, 😂 I have some great shots and was able to attend the Sea Lion show. Then, I headed to the Botanical Garden for the second part of the day. I attend the Orchid Daze show every year, so I got some great shots. I sat on the bench and enjoyed the breeze; people watched and counted my blessings. It was a much-needed beautiful day.

Saturday was the party, and I drank my portion of the liquor. I had shots, mixed drinks, and champagne for the toast. WASTED! His text, “We have reservations on Sunday for 3 pm!” I woke up Sunday morning feeling like shit, but I had some hours to get it together because he was driving in from South Carolina, where he lives. He arrived around 2 pm, and we were on our way, but I was dragging. He knew about the party the night before, and we spoke before he arrived, so he knew how I was feeling. We arrived at the location early and ordered some food, which helped me recover. LET THE GAMES BEGIN! I WON a bowling game, pinball, pac-man, Galaga, AND Jenga. 😂 I was bothered that we didn’t get a chance to play ice hockey, but another time. I told him before the arrival that I was clumsy, and I am glad I gave him a warning because I almost slipped and fell down the stairs. I celebrated my winning score and danced while walking back to my seat and almost slipped. When I tell you this man was quick and ready to catch me haha, his cape was almost in the wind, but he didn’t have to go far to save me 😂 I didn’t fall but grabbed the rail, so I was safe. I thanked him for the swift movement even though I didn’t need his help, but he was in position. I love a man that stays ready and can save me 😂

We finished our game and walked across the way to eat. We ate, laughed, and talked. I have known him for a few years, but I was all over the place the last few years, but he reached out at Thanksgiving and again when I was in LA. We planned to meet, and he took my first available date. He is the perfect gentleman, and I feel safe with him, which is a big deal for me. He gives amazing hugs! He ensures I am always walking on the inside, and we are always laughing. He left shortly after the date, and we will go out again before I leave town. I have great intuition but can’t read him, but time will tell. And the ones that I could read, and I knew that I shouldn’t have dated them, I still did, so does it matter that I can’t read him well? Smh! That is an area in which I need to do better. We did have a brief conversation about relationships. I shared with him that considering that we live in different states, we would have to make sure that we have a solid foundation built on trust if we were to be together. Three hours apart is not far, but it’s too far not to trust someone, and I don’t have time for that shit from him or anyone else.

May this week be fantastic despite any challenges! The pollen is terrible in Atlanta, so my allergies are horrible. I look like Will Smith in the movie Hitch when he had the allergic reaction. 😂😂😂 I can hardly see as I am typing because my eyes are itchy and watering. I watched a few movies that have me in my feelings, so if you are single, don’t give up on love. If you are in a partnership, ensure you have done the work on your end so you can show up for your mate, and it can be an excellent experience for both of you!
