Male Friend: I will be ready to be in a relationship in 2026. I am done with dating, and I will NOT be the single old man. So, by the end of this year, I will be in a relationship, and I want to get married.

I am baffled by his statement because he has a rotation of women who serve different purposes, so I think it will be hard for him to narrow it down since he “likes” them. Months passed with no change—he was still enjoying himself. Listening to his stories about these women, some of whom loved him and would do anything for him, I wondered how this would end.

Me: But you’re dating four to six women each week. How are you planning to narrow it down to one?

Male Friend: You think I am playing, but I am very serious!

As the holidays arrived, eliminations began, leaving just a couple of ladies. I joked that 2026 was coming fast and teased that he wouldn’t meet his deadline because the choice was tough. He surprised me by saying he knew who he wanted—and it wasn’t any woman he’d dated before. What the f&@k! Not one? 😳 He replied, “Not one!” completely serious. Soon after, at the year’s start, he was in a new relationship, and the others were an afterthought.

Reflecting on this, I realized my previous view was confirmed by watching it unfold. When ready, a man pursues who he wants with intention. There’s no confusion! 😉
