Heyyy good people! My world has been wild, and I would love a good nightβs sleep. When I returned from vacation, my fur baby was acting funny when I got home. I know that he missed me, but he also misses being at our neighbors’ chilling with her fur babies. He will not let me sleep, and he keeps hitting the bed because he wants to sleep on the bed with me. Smh! He is stressing me out! Hahaha

Oh Thailand! I miss the food, people, drinks, riding in a tuk-tuk, and 7- Eleven! We started the vacation in Chinatown, Bangkok, and we met the travel guide and the others in our group. Our group included people from all over the world, and they were so cool. We went to dinner, got to know each other, and enjoyed dessert from the street vendor. The next day we took a longtail boat on the Chao Phraya River and headed to the flower market. The boat was moving through the water; the breeze felt so good on my face. We passed homes and temples, and bought bread from the Monks to feed fish. Next, we did a quick visit to the flower market on our way to the Wat Po Temple. After the temple, we had lunch and were headed to Kanchanaburi.

Once we arrived in Kanchanaburi, we checked into the resort, which was a floating riverhouse. I was scared because there were not enough lights on the property, so it was pitch dark. We had another great dinner with the group, and the food was always delicious. The energy flowed with all of us and we got along well. The resort was very peaceful! After dinner, I ran to the room hoping I wouldnβt slide down the hill because it rained earlier that day. In the room, we spotted a small lizard that we set free. I slept with my cellphone light on just in case another lizard was in the room. haha I was so sleepy, but we were headed to Erawan Falls in the Erawan National Park. No time to waste!

Erawan Falls is a 7βtiered cascading waterfall, and each level was breathtaking. The hike to level 7 wasnβt difficult, but you must hydrate. However, on tier 7 of the waterfall, there are small fish in the water, and they were nibbling on the group. Hahaha, one of our group members was so irritated by the fish that she got out of the water. While everyone was in the water, I was sitting on the side chatting with people. I met a handsome young man from Belgium, and he was with his family. He inquired where I was from, and he was shocked to hear my flight was a total of approximately 18 hours. On level 6, the monkeys made a special appearance and chased one of the guys in our group, and he screamed like a girl. Well, those were his words. Haha After Erawan, we checked into a hotel to relax and freshen up before we took the overnight train to Chiang Mai. I explored the neighborhood looking for dinner and discovered a store with a great price on sunglasses, so I had to get a pair.

We rode in tuk-tuks to the train station and boarded the train shortly thereafter. I got settled in my bed and read a book, reviewed my photos from the trip, slept a little, and put on a mask to ensure my skin was hydrated. Once we arrived, we freshened up, went to brunch, and went to the last Temple. After the temple, we had some free time until that evening. We did some exploring, and I came across a jewelry store, and the owner was a cat haha. I could tell this cat was spoiled and lives a life of luxury. That evening, I went to a Muay Thai Boxing match, and I was so invested that you would have thought I was a boxing trainer hahaha The last match was a knockout, and I felt so bad for the fighter.

The last day in Chiang Mai, we went on a food tour and a Lady Boy Cabaret show. The food tour was delicious and a wide variety of eats. The cabaret show was a great production! The costumes and music selections were fabulous, and I would recommend the show to everyone. The men in the group were hesitant to go to the show, but one of the guys ended up on stage in a wig and a dress hahaha He was such a good sport considering he had no idea he would be performing for a crowd. Haha

I had the best time in Thailand! I did some shopping before I left, and I went in 7 – Eleven and spent a good amount of Baht on face masks. hahaha Once I returned to Los Angeles, I was able to spend some time at the beach with family before I headed back to Atlanta. My heart is full! π

Until next time!
